Northern Regional NDC Youth promises NPP group showdown on Nov. 16 at Mahama’s office

Some supporters and sympathizers of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Northern Region have said they will confront the Fixing the Country Movement, an NPP-affiliated group at Former president John Mahama’s office on November 16, 2023.

The NDC faithful, led by the National Executive Committee (NEC) member of the party, Godfred Apasinaba, is mobilizing the youth in the region to take part in the upcoming clean-up exercise at the office of former President John Dramani Mahama.

Addressing a press conference on Monday, October 30, in Tamale, the NDC youth said they would not spare anyone or anything coming close to the office of the former president on that fateful day.

This announcement comes after the Fixing the Country Movement founded by Owusu Bempah, a deputy NPP Director of Communications notified the Ghana Police Service of its intention to demonstrate at the office premises of Mr. Mahama on November 16, to register its displeasure about the delay in prosecuting the former president over the Airbus saga.

On the back of this, the Greater Accra Regional Youth Organizer of the NDC threatened that he and his men would deal with any NPP youth member coming close to the former president’s office at any given time.

To support the call, NDC supporters across the country are preparing to do a clean-up exercise at the office of the former president on the 16th of November 2023.

The Greater Accra Regional Youth Organizer of NDC is being supported heavily by youth groups of the party within the Northern Region led by an NEC member of the party, Godfred Apasinaba also known as King Yellow who has promised to move to Accra with all sorts of tools to take part in the exercise, threatening to deal with any living thing coming close to the office of the former president within 600 meters.
