Sylvester Tetteh, a member of parliament for Bortianor Ngleshie Amanfro and a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has stated that he will be joining Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign team following the resignation of former Trade and Industry Minister Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen.

Following Kyerematen’s withdrawal from the NPP presidential primaries, Tetteh made the decision to endorse a different candidate.

In a Metro TV interview, Sly Tetteh revealed his thorough discussions with his constituents and colleagues before deciding to back Bawumia, whom he described as the best candidate for the impending 2024 elections.

“I believe that he will make a good president. From the look of things, I think he will make a better president than those in the race,” he said.

As the MP with a sizable following in the area and a history of outspoken support for Kyerematen, Tetteh’s defection is a major boost to Bawumia’s campaign.
