COP Fun Club, an NPP-affiliated group in the Northern Region has called on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the NPP to rescind the decision to replace Seidu Iddrisu Addisah as Head of the Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority with Brigadier General Ziblim Ayorrogo, saying he is an NDC mole in the service.

The appointment of Brigadier General Ziblim Ayorrogo as Head of the Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority has been met with stiff resistance from youth groups of the ruling NPP, especially in the Northern Region who believed General Ayorrogo is a known NDC person and will work against the interest of the governing party in the upcoming general elections.

The NPP youth at a press conference in Tamale, urged the president not to jeopardize the fortunes of the party in the upcoming elections by empowering the enemy.

The NPP youth groups could not understand why Seidu Iddrisu Addisah, a party person would be replaced with an opponent in a crucial election year – the 2024 election, calling the decision a very bad one that should not be allowed to stand.
