NSMQ Expresses Shock Over Sudden Death Of 2021 Ketasco Finalist, James Lutterodt

The organizers of the prestigious National Science & Maths Quiz (NSMQ) have expressed their shock and sadness over the sudden demise of James Lutterodt, one of the contestants in the 2021 edition who represented the Keta Senior High Technical School in the Volta Region.

James Lutterodt and his teammates made history by representing Ketasco in the finals in 2021.

Although the team came third, they were the first school to ever represent the Volta Region in the finals since the competition began.

According to reports, Lutterodt was pronounced dead on Monday morning with unconfirmed rumors indicating he was poisoned.

Following the news, NSMQ took to their social media pages to mourn with the family and the school.

As a history-making #NSMQ2021 Keta SHTS team member, he made his school and region proud as the first school from the Volta Region at the NSMQ Final,” NSMQ tweeted on Monday. Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time,” the post of NSMQ read.

James died at the age of 19 and it is further rumored that he was bound to travel to the United States of America to further his studies.
