A psychologist, De- graft Afful, from Mpohor has been adjudged the best Western Regional farmer for 2022

Speaking in an interview after being declared overall best farmer, the entrepreneur said farming does not discriminate hence his decision to work with his Engineer father in various sectors of Agriculture. Western Regional Correspondent, Zambaga Rufai Saminu reports.

The theme for this year’s farmers day celebration is Accelerating Agricultural Development Through Value Addition”

In Western Region, the event took place at Bogoso in Prestea-Huni Valley District.

The overall winner of the regional farmers’ day went to De-graft Afful from Mpohor.

The psychologist-turned-farmer said he has been engaged in Agricultural activities for various reasons.

He says job creation, wealth, and food production informed his decision to pay attention to Agriculture and to make farming a priority since the occupation does not discriminate

He wants government to pay attention to the country’s Agricultural front to turn around the national economy

In an address, Western Regional Minister Kwabena Okyere Darko Mensah, paid gluing tribute to the government for introducing mouthwatering policies to change dynamics in the Agricultural sector.
