Retaining GPL title not our priority now – Medeama SC CEO

CEO of Medeama SC,  Joseph Tetteh Zutah has said retaining the 2022/2023 League title can wait.

According to the learned football administrator, the eminent task is to compete in the Caf Champions League, do well, and make Ghana proud.

Zutah, who doubles as the Vice President of the Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG) said retaining the local title is not high on the club’s agenda now but will equally work towards it when the time presents itself.

“Defending the league can come in later, for now, we want to compete well in Africa and make Ghana proud”, Zutah told Original 91.9 FM.

“At the moment, the mission is to prepare well for the CAF Champions League”.

Medeama SC will host Remo Stars FC at the Cape Coast Stadium in the first leg of the CAF Champions League prelims in August before traveling to Nigeria for the reverse fixture.
