Sekondi: NPP candidates vying to lead constituency unite to show maturity

The two candidates vying to lead Sekondi constituency in the ongoing parliamentary primaries of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) this morning demonstrated maturity before delegates as they shook hands in solidarity and unity ahead of declaration of results later this evening.

Sekondi, is traditionally an NPP strong hold, therefore any candidate who secures the nod of delegates in the ongoing parliamentary primaries would most likely secure the nod in December as the Member of Parliament.

Consequently, the stakes are high and expectations of both candidates vying to lead the constituency seem higher.

That not withstanding, the two candidates on Saturday morning demonstrated courage and shook hands in front of cameras to signify unity in the constituency.

They all had their messages delivered to delegates

Andrew Agyapa Mercer, the incumbent Member of Parliament for Sekondi constituency, is running for his third term.

The other candidate vying for the seat is Benjamin Paa Kwesi Moses commonly known as Sekondi Moses.

Both candidates are certain of victory, but the outcome would be delivered by delegates of the party by close of polls later this evening.
