WAEC emphasized that late entries will not be accommodated due to security reasons, underlining the importance of adhering to the specified timeline.

For Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates, the examination is scheduled to take place from Monday, 8th July to Friday, 12th July, 2024.

Meanwhile, the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for school candidates will be exclusively Ghana-focused, running from Monday, 5th August to Friday, 27th September, 2024.

Additionally, the General and Advanced Business Certificate Examinations are slated for Friday, 2nd August to Monday, 2nd September 2024, with registration portals open from Tuesday, 5th March 2024, until Friday, 19th April 2024.

WAEC has issued a stern warning to candidates and parents regarding fraudulent practices on social media platforms. The council advised against engaging with individuals who solicit registration fees outside of the official channels, cautioning against exorbitant fees charged for such services.

To promote transparency and fairness, WAEC has reiterated that the approved registration fee for entry in 7 to 9 subjects stands at GH¢465 cedis. This measure aims to safeguard the integrity of the examination process and ensure equal access to all candidates.

“We wish to inform our publics that the approved WAEC registration fee for entry in 7 to 9 subjects is GH¢465 cedis”

As the nation gears up for the 2024 examinations, WAEC urges candidates to prioritize their registration process and exercise vigilance against potential scams.
