2023 BECE: GNAT wishes over 600,000 candidates good luck

The Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) has sent a goodwill message to the over 600,000 students writing the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) nationwide.

The statement signed by Thomas Musa the General Secretary of the National Association of Teachers encouraged them on their new step to be filled with confidence.

“Ghana looks up to you, to bear the torch of progress and positivity and also remember that their parents, siblings, families, and the larger society looks up to them so they shouldn’t disappoint but rather take advantage of the basic education certificate examination BECE to curve a niche for themselves and the future is theirs,” GNAT stated.

GNAT also expressed that it is proud of every student taking the nationwide examination and is eagerly waiting to welcome them into a new era of higher education.

The Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) in a statement on August 3, cautioned students who would be taking the Basic Education Certificate Examination in 2023 not to indulge in any sort of malpractice that would interfere with their goals and aspirations.

Meanwhile, the 2023 candidates will be the last batch of students to write the Basic Education Certificate Examination, (BECE) which has been in existence for over 30 years, per a new curriculum introduced in 2019, a new examination will be administered to the first batch of Junior High School learners in 2024.
