Tamale Teaching Hospital CEO steps down

Chief Executive Officer of the Tamale Teaching Hospital, Dr. Kareem Mumuni,  has resigned after two years in office.

According to a statement published by the facility’s management, Dr. Adam Atiku, who is in charge of medical affairs, has been requested to serve as interim CEO.

However, the statement did not specify the reasons for his resignation.

Dr. Mumuni served as temporary CEO when the prior CEO, Dr. David Kolibilla, was accused of procurement violations.

A full-scale probe was launched to ascertain the truth of the matter.

Even though the investigation’s findings cleared Dr. Kolibilla of all charges and suggested that he be reinstated, the suggestion has not yet been carried out.
