Chief Executive Officer of the American International School, Mrs. Adelaide Siaw-Agyepong, has been awarded the Outstanding Entrepreneur in Education at the 9th Feminine Ghana Achievement Awards.
The award is in recognition of her extensive contribution to the education sector in Ghana.
The event which was organized by the business executive saw over 200 influential public and private organizations and top dignitaries participating.
49 businesswomen on the night took home plaques for excelling in the fields of education, banking, aviation, real estate development, human resources, bakery, construction, and pharmaceuticals.
Notable among them is the Chief Executive Officer of the American International School, Adelaide Siaw-Agyepong.
Speaking to Metro News after the awards, Madam Siaw-Agyepong expressed her appreciation to the Business Executive Magazine for acknowledging and rewarding her effort in the education sector.
“I never anticipated getting awards from the business executive group. They’ve been very instrumental in what they do. They are professional organizers. At this point, I think it is the doing of the Lord, and I want to give glory to God.”
She also called for a strategic change in the 21st century of education and challenged young women to cultivate the spirit of empowering one another to bring out the best in them.
“What we can do in this 21st century is to be analytical thinkers and poise in what they do. Entrepreneurs comping up, especially the young ladies, they should focus on what they are doing and shouldn’t relent on what they are doing”
Sophia Kodjordji, Chief Corporate Communications Officer of the Jospong Group of Companies was also adjudged the Most Outstanding Female in Public Relations.
Instituted in 2014, the awards seek to recognize female achievers from various walks of life in Ghana whose corporate conduct, performance, and achievements are exemplary.
