Adhere to COVID-19 precautions in this rainy season – GHS cautions

The deputy director in charge of administration at the Eastern Regional Health Directorate, Dr. Peter Boateng has advised Ghanaians to take COVID-19 precautionary measures during this rainy season.

According to him, the Ghana Health Service is still recording COVID-19 cases therefore a need to take precautions.

He was speaking at Asiakwa in the Abuakwa South municipality of the Eastern region at a fundraising ceremony in aid of a hospital facility.

The hospital after completion will serve the people of Asiakwa and its environment.

In an interview with Metro TV, Dr. Peter Boateng charged Ghanaians to go back to adhering to the safety protocols.

He added that there has been a reduction in COVID-19 cases in the country but there is a need to protect ourselves to prevent outbreak.

However, the registrar at the scholarship secretariat, Dr. Kingsley Agyeman on his part called on the residents to support the project.

According to him, quality healthcare is one of the priorities of the government.

He, therefore, urged Ghanaians to continue to rally behind the government to enable it to develop various communities.

Meanwhile, the Ayokohene of Asiakwa Nana Agyekumhene Benin has cautioned the contractor of the project to desist from any corruption activities.
