Cecilia Dapaah has paid her dues — NPP’s Lawuratu Musah-Saaka

A New Patriotic Party Communication Team Member, Lawuratu Musah-Saaka has heaped praises on the Former Sanitation and Water Resources Minister, Cecilia Abena Dapaah, who resigned after news of her reporting her house helps for allegedly stealing millions of dollars and cedis from her home dominated the headlines.

Making an appearance on Good Morning Ghana on Metro TV on Monday, July 24, 2023, Madam Lawuratu affirmed that the embattled ex-Sanitation Minister has done some amount of work in the ministry until she bowed out hence, must be acknowledged for that despite the many controversies that are springing up.

She went on to recall some deeds of Cecilia Dapaah to support her claim.

“One of the noticeable ones is that since 2017, we haven’t recorded alarming numbers of cholera cases since attention was paid particularly to it. This is not to say our sanitation situation is perfect. Everything has not been done, but a lot of interventions have been put in place to make sure that the sector is working,” she noted.

Again, Lawuratu Musah-Saaka touted Madam Dapaah’s achievemnets “one of the things that I am reliably informed is the ability to put the partner ministries and agencies together to form a really strong committee.”

The NPP Communication Team Member continued “When you also go the water bit, you have seen the Upper West Regional Water Supply Project completed, the five-districts water supply scheme phase three completed.”

In Lawuratu’s words, she describes these efforts as “a great deal of work.”
