The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, on Tuesday, swore into office Ernest Yaw Anim as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Kumawu, in the Ashanti Region.
This comes after the Electoral Commission declared Ernest Yaw Anim the winner of the by-election held on May 23, 2023, with 15,264 votes, electing him as the Member of Parliament for Kumawu.
After the demise of the previous MP, Philip Basoah, Ernest Yaw Anim is elected to represent Kumawu.
The Speaker delivered the oath of allegiance, which was taken by Ernest Yaw Anim.
“Honourable member, congratulations. You are now duly sworn in as a Member of Parliament for Kumawu constituency,” the Speaker said.
