It has come to the attention of the Management of Metro TV, that there is a trending video attributing a broadcast of a news item to Metro TV News.

The said video alleges and creates the impression that Metro TV aired a programme in which the President of the Republic of Ghana, President Akufo Addo and Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia attended and launched a 500-cedi note and coin.

The Management of Metro TV wishes to categorically state that the trending video is false and that it has never broadcast any such story.

The Management hereby issues this disclaimer to dissociate Metro TV from the said broadcast and advise our discerning audience to treat the video with the contempt it deserves.
