President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has nominated Madam Genevieve Sackey for the Appointment as the Managing Director of Ghana Cylinder Manufacturing Company Limited (GCMCL)
The nomination was made in accordance with the relevance provisions of the Companies Act, 2019 (Act 992) and the regulations of the company.
The announcement was made in a statement signed by the Secretary to the President, Nana Bediatuo Asante on Friday, February 24, 2024.
Directed to the Minister of Energy Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the letter asked that necessary steps be taken to regularise the said appointment.
This comes on the heels of Madam Frances Asiam resigning from the position on Thursday, February 23, 2023.
She did not state what triggered her decision to part ways with the company.
Madam Essiam was appointed by President Akufo-Addo in May 2017 and has since headed the company until her present resignation.
