Gyakye Quayson’s Trial: State’s witness to complete testimony today

Lawyers for the embattled Member of Parliament, James Gyakye Quayson are expected to conclude their cross-examination today on the state’s first witness, Richard Tackie Mensah.

This follows a warning by the presiding judge Maame Mary Ekuei Yanzuh, that should the accused lawyers fail to show up, he should be prepared to continue from where his lawyers stopped.

It will be recalled that Justice Teriwajah wrote to the court requesting that the hearing as scheduled for July 28, 2023, be adjourned to October due to his ill health but this was denied by the court.

The court noted that should the lawyers for James Gyakye Quayson fail to come to court, on July 31, he should be ready to conduct the cross-examination himself.\
