Veteran journalist, Kwesi Pratt Junior has expressed his opinion on why leaked audios that go viral have gained premium in the country.
According to Kwesi Pratt, leaked tapes are nothing that should require the attention of Ghanaians but for the dishonesty of our leaders, they have become very important.
Speaking on Good Morning Ghana with Dr. Randy Abbey on Metro TV on Wednesday, the Managing Editor of the Insight Newspaper asserted that because of the dishonest habit of Ghana’s leaders, it has become evident that what they say in their private conversations are significantly different to what they say in public.
He therefore noted that because of this dishonesty, leaked tapes have become the only means to establish the true intentions of our leaders.
Kwesi Pratt Junior noted that”do you know why these leaked tapes have become so important? Only one reason. Our leaders are so dishonest. What they say in private is substantially different from what they say in public. If our leaders were saying the same thing they say in private in public, these tapes would have no relevance and they would have no meaning.”
“They [leaked tapes] have meaning and they [leaked tapes] have relevance because these leaders are dishonest to the core,” the senior journalist insisted.
