Man lynched for murdering his lover at Ajumako Oboom

A 28-year-old Bentsil Bubarick has been beaten to death by an angry mob at Enyan Oboom in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District of the Central Region.

The deceased allegedly unleashed an attack on his girlfriend and some of her family members for threatening to call their relationship a quit over his smoking behavior.

According to information gathered by Metro News, the deceased suspect, Bentil Bubarick stormed the house of his deceased girlfriend on the eve of Thursday, October 2, 2023, on a mission to kill his girlfriend for threatening to jilt him over his smoking behavior.

However, he could not easily identify his girlfriend’s identical twin sister and launched a machete attack on her while also injuring his father-in-law by stabbing him.

Both victims were rushed to the Ajumako Government Hospital for treatment as the suspect went into hiding.

His girlfriend, Ataa Kakra, told Metro News that she had called their relationship a quit due to Bentil’s addicted smoking behavior.

She narrated that Metro News that Bentil however objected to her decision and threatened to kill her. Gripped with fear she called on the police to swiftly intervene and have her boyfriend arrested.

Metro News would however learn that a short while after the interview the deceased suspect, Bentil Bubarick sneaked into the house of his girlfriend and murdered her in cold blood after realizing that he mistook the identity of her twin sister Ataa Panyin who was on hospital admission.

Bentil after killing her lover dragged and dumped her lifeless body in a nearby river and once again took to his heels.

Angry residents who uncovered the act mounted a search for Bentil and upon finding him beat him to death.

His remains have been deposited at the Ajumako Government Hospital morgue.

A brother of Ataa Kakrah told Metro News that the deceased suspect constantly threatened to eliminate all members of the family.
