In a move aimed at garnering support for Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Communications Director of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Richard Abiagbah took to Facebook on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, to campaign for Bawumia’s economic vision.
Under the banner “Be Bold with Bawumia,” Mr. Ahiagbah emphasized Bawumia’s proposed strategy to utilize the country’s gold reserves to stabilize the cedi, ensuring a robust and steady currency value.

Highlighting Dr. Bawumia’s plan as a bold solution to the perennial issue of currency depreciation, the Director of Communications for NPP asserted that under Dr. Bawumia’s leadership, the instability that has plagued the cedi would become a thing of the past. This Dr. Bawumia will do by backing the cedi with gold, which aims at providing a solid foundation for economic growth and stability, promising a future where depreciation worries are alleviated, and the cedi stands strong.

Mr. Ahiagbah by his post, urged Ghanaians to pledge their support and be bold with the Vice President and flagbearer of the NPP. With the upcoming elections looming, the NPP’s Communications Director’s impassioned plea signals a rallying call for unity behind Dr. Bawumia’s economic agenda, presenting it as a decisive and transformative path forward for Ghana’s economic prosperity.
