Put Ghana first in all your dealings – NCCE boss

The Chairperson of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), Ms. Kathleen Addy has called on citizens to put Ghana first in all their dealings and express it in their day-to-day activities.

Ms. Addy wants citizens to be loyal to Ghana and promote the good name of the country.

Ms. Addy made remarks when she visited the E.P Mission School at Anyaniu in the Volta Region as a special guest at Civic Forum organised to mark the 2023 Citizenship Week celebration.

The Civic Forum on the theme: “30 Years of Consolidating Constitutional Democracy: Building National Cohesion through Civic Education: The Role of the Ghanaian Child.”

Meanwhile, the National Commission for Civic Education has also called on Ghanaians to stand as a sign of respect when they hear the national anthem and pledge,

The NCCE reminded citizens in a statement issued on Tuesday, 12 June 2023, “that national symbols such as the National Pledge, the National Anthem, the National Flag, the Coat of Arms, the Ghana Currency and the Mace of Parliament among other symbols and State identities must be respected.”

“These symbols identify us, as citizens of Ghana and they must be accorded the requisite levels of recognition and decorum,” the statement added.
