Sam George retains Ningo Prampram seat with 1,036 votes

The incumbent Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram, Sam George Nartey, has been re-elected to lead the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) ahead of election 2024.

The outspoken legislator and anti-LGBTQI advocate pulled 1036 votes in the just-ended NDC primaries.

This means Sam George will lead the party for the third time in the 2024 general elections.

Sam George faced a stiff contest from Michael Kwetey Tetteh who narrowly lost the 2019 parliamentary primaries by seven votes.

In his acceptance speech, Sam George extended his heartfelt gratitude to the delegates for casting their votes in his favour.

In addition, he said he is poised to secure 100,000 votes for the presumptive NDC presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama in the 2024 elections.

He dared him to boldly come out to criticize LGBTQI+ practice if his claims are miles away from the truth.

Sam George believes that he represents the light and the light will prevail at the end of the election on Saturday, May 13, 2023.

“I am fighting for the protection of our culture, our values and to make sure that our children are protected and that is what I represent. The other side cannot speak to these matters because for them their hands are tainted”
