A group of artisans and spare parts dealers at Suame Magazine in Kumasi have rallied their support behind the candidacy of Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, a New Patriotic Party flagbearer hopeful.

According to them, they will persuade the party delegates to vote overwhelmingly for Kennedy Agyapong in the party’s presidential primaries, positioning him as the next presidential candidate for the party.

They claimed their decision was based on his honesty, courage, and vision to revitalize the country’s economic fortunes.

Speaking at the Launch of the “Showdown – Ken for Power” campaign at Suame Magazine in Kumasi, a legal team member of Kennedy Agyapong Campaign, William Kusi, emphasized that the party’s national delegates should heed to the voice of the Ghanaian people in favor of Kennedy Agyapong.

He said the outspoken politician when elected as the NPP flagbearer can secure victory in the 2024 Presidential elections, adding that Kennedy Agyapong is the favorite among all the aspirants to become the next president.

Failure by the party to elect Ken Agyapong to lead the party, Mr. Kusi said, will make it very difficult for the NPP to break the 8.

On his part, the Chairman of the Showdown – Ken for Power campaign, Nana Boadu, encouraged group members to engage with party delegates and persuade them to choose Ken Agyapong to lead the party in the upcoming general elections to make ’breaking the 8’ a reality.
