The Member of Parliament for New Juaben South Constituency, Michael Okyere Baafi has reiterated the fact that Christians will always Support a Muslim leadership as it has always been the order of the day.

Debunking the assertions that Christians are divided over the Choice of the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the presidential hopeful, on the ticket of the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP), the Deputy Minister for Trade and Industries refuted those claims adding that Successive Presidents of Ghana from 1992 were mostly Christian leaders who were backed by their Muslim Brothers and Sisters before they reached the summit of Presidency so it is time to reciprocate those support which has been evident over the years.

“The 2024 General Elections is not going to be about NPP or NDC but rather choosing a leader from your own group, We (Christians) are aware of the Support you have given us and continue to give us, so it’s about time we give back what you have given us, so the choice is in your hands allow us to support you in this course,” he noted.

He made these remarks during the Celebration of Eid al-Fitr, last week, where he met with the Muslim Community at Koforidua, Zongo.
