We’ll work hard and qualify for the 2024 summer Olympics – Coach Michael Osei

Black Meteors assistant coach, Michael Osei has fancied the chance of Ghana’s U-23 side to qualify for the 2024 summer Olympic Games.

This comes after Ghana defeated Algeria 1-0 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Tuesday, March 29, 2023, to qualify for the upcoming U-23 African Cup of Nations which kick-starts on June 24 – July 8 in Morocco.

In an interview with Gideon Okyere Anim “Gatusso” on Original 91.9FM’s Super Sports Show, the former Black Stars player said the Black Meteors will go above themselves to qualify for the 2024 Olympics.

“We will work hard and grab the opportunity to qualify for the 2024 summer Olympics”

“We have a very talented squad so it is doable”

“The players are tactically disciplined and they play to the coach’s instructions”

In 2019, Ghana failed to qualify for the Olympic Games ticket after the team lost on penalties to Ivory Coast in the semi-finals of the last U23 AFCON.
