67th Independence Day: Bawumia calls for unity for progress

The 2024 presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has made a heartfelt call for unity among Ghanaians in his message commemorating the country’s 67th Independence Anniversary.

The Vice President stressed the importance of harmony and underscored that unity is essential for building a prosperous future for all citizens and generations to come.

In his statement, Dr. Bawumia acknowledged the significant achievements made by Ghana thus far while expressing optimism about the potential for even greater accomplishments through collective effort and shared purpose. He highlighted the importance of unity as a driving force behind the nation’s progress.

“So much has been achieved, so much to be accomplished. With unity and one purpose, it is possible we can build a brighter Ghana for all citizens and the next generation”

As the country reflects on its journey towards independence, Dr. Bawumia’s call for unity serves as a reminder of the importance of solidarity in overcoming challenges and realizing the nation’s aspirations. With a vision of inclusivity and progress, Dr. Bawumia reaffirms his dedication to leading Ghana towards a brighter and more prosperous future for all.

Ghana’s 67th Independence Day Anniversary is being held in Koforidua, the Eastern Regional capital where dignitaries from across the country, political parties, the clergy, traditional and opinion leaders have gathered to observe the day.

The day is also being observed across all the other 15 regional capitals. Almost all the district, municipal and metropolitan capitals are also celebrating the Independence Day today, 6 March 2024.

Alassane Ouattara, the President of Ivory Coast is the Guest of Honour at the Independence Day Anniversary being observed in the Eastern Regional capital.
