Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, newly elected vice president of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), surprised Kennedy Agyapong, the well-known politician who finished second in the party’s presidential election last Saturday, with a surprise visit. This was a deliberate political move.

The purpose of the dinner meeting on Wednesday night was to strengthen the friendship between the two powerful individuals and to encourage cooperation for the country’s betterment as the election of 2019 approached.

Prior to setting up camp against one another, the two politicians had a cordial relationship.

Dr. Bawumia is anticipated to travel to other NPP contenders and opinion leaders in an effort to patch things up and create unity before the 2024 elections.
