Private legal practitioner and a member of the Communications Team of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Lawyer Twum Barima has described the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to be unfit for president.
Lawyer Twum Barima says Dr. Bawumia has over the years dented his credibility with consistent lies and hence does not deserve to lead the country as president.
Speaking on Accra-based UTV, the legal practitioner further explained that Dr. Bawumia has been part of the mess created by the NPP government. He noted that the current mess in the country is a creation of the collaboration between President Akufo-Addo and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
To this end, he stressed that the vice president cannot be a proper replacement for President Akufo-Addo upon his exit adding that Dr. Bawumia will be the worst version of President Akufo-Addo if given the opportunity to lead the country.
Lawyer Twum Barima said, “you don’t even have anything to tell the delegates. Tell them how you have helped Akufo-Addo to mess up this country. How you and Akufo-Addo have collaborated to bring this country down. You said you don’t need to borrow. You said what Ghana needs is to mount toll booths across all our roads to mobilize funds to fix our roads. These were your words, Dr. Bawumia. Under your leadership, you sat aloof for toll booths to be collapsed. They are not working. None of them is working. So where is that money?
“Having seen all this mess that these two gentlemen have led this country into, the only option is not to repeat Bawumia but rather bring a face that can fix and fix it better because Dr. Bawumia is part of the mess. You cannot replace Akufo-Addo with Bawumia. I have said it and I will repeat it again, he will be the worst version of Akufo-Addo,” the NDC indicated.
