The Chairperson of the Black Queens Management Committee, Gifty Oware Mensah has disclosed that the Ghana Football Association (GFA) pays the wages of Black Queens coach Nora Hauptle and not the Sports Ministry.
“The FA pays the black Queens coach, not the Sports Ministry,” she divulged.
She told Gideon Okyere Anim commonly known as Gattuso to the Power 7 in an interview on the Super Sports Show on Original 91.9 FM.
This revelation comes as a surprise since in shape contrast the Sports Ministry pays the wages of the Black Stars’ coach.
Madam Nora Hauptle has received praise from Ghanaians following her impressive record of nine wins and one loss since assuming her position.
It is believed that she would earn a better salary if she was on the payroll of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The Black Queens have qualified for the AWCON tournament which takes place in Morocco later this year.
This will be the Queens 12th time of participating in the tournament and they hope to win the trophy for the first time.
Madam Oware Mensah said the Black Queens qualifying for the AWCON was her highest moment in 2023 and hopes the team does better than their previous tournaments.
