The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako, has cautioned flagbearer hopeful, Kennedy Agyapong to halt ‘threatening’ his life.
Mr. Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi said he would cause Mr. Agyapong’s arrest if he continues such an act.
Chairman Wontumi disclosed this during a press briefing in Kumasi on Wednesday, October 4, 2023.
Kennedy Agyapong during his “Showdown Walk” in Kumasi over the weekend accused Chairman Wontumi and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia of collapsing the NPP.
He also dared the Ashanti regional chairman of the NPP and stated that he would give him a “showdown.”
“Wontumi and Bawumia are collapsing the NPP party. There is no way people should point fingers at someone like me who will always speak the truth to power. They are using intimidation and other dubious means to collapse the party. But we’ll never sit aloof to watch them collapse the party. I want to tell them that I have all their secret meetings in my possession. If they dare me or make any mistake, there will be an eye for eye, tooth for a tooth,” Mr. Agyapong said.
