It’s untrue 60% of Menzgold customers are ineligible for payments after validation – Aggrieved Customers

The Coalition of Aggrieved Customers of Menzgold has vehemently denied claims by the CEO of the defunct gold dealership company, Nana Appiah Mensah, that over sixty percent of claims submitted for validation were plagued with several defects.

Mr. Appiah Mensah said in a statement on Friday, August11, that the company enumerated a number of defects including irregularities or inconsistencies of the records on the face of the documents, fake (fraudulent) supporting documents, and fake authorized signatures, among other alleged defects.

He, however, urged clients that fall within the over 60 percent bracket but “believe they have honest, genuine and eligible claims to proceed to verify their gold trading transactions status, thus; ascertain as to the validity, invalidity or otherwise of the purported transactions and hence, an eligibility or ineligibility of any claim whatsoever.”

“We entreat confident Customers to acquire a “Menzgold Traders Transactions Status Verification Access Card”, from Payboy Company Limited and/or any of its underlisted agents for a Personal Identification Number (PIN), to be utilized to digitally verify one’s transaction claim eligibility or otherwise,” the Menzgold CEO said.

But, according to the Coalition of Aggrieved Customers of Menzgold, the claims are false.

The Coalition alleged in a counter statement on Friday morning that Menzgold customers were not involved in the validation process.

“We also reject so called validation which was soley done by Mr Nana Appiah Mensah and his Menzgold without the involvement of any known state reputable agency because Menzgold and Brew Marketing Company Ghana Limited were shut down by a State agency and the CEO, currently facing criminal trial and so it cannot purport to be doing validation on its own volition,” excerpts of the statement read.

The Coalition further cautioned its members against purchasing the supposed access card to aid in receiving their locked-up investments.

According to the Coalition, the access card is fraudulent and its members should stay away from it.

“Payboy is a company that does not have any credibility. It extorted money from customers in 2020 with the pretext of assisting customers to retrieve their money in Menzgold but ended up being another questionable scheme from Menzgold’s CEO.  CACM broke the story on  31st July 2023 that Nam1 and his people are printing scratch/access cards to be sold to already impoverished customers at a fee of GHC 600. On 10th August 2023, agents of Payboy, a brainchild of Nam1 have started calling customers to pay ghc650 for the purchase of so-called access card,” the Coalition of Aggrieved Customers of Menzgold warned.

Re: ELIGIBLE TRANSACTION PAYMENT AND IMPASSE CLOSURE

Don’t Buy Menzgold access card: it is a fraudulent venture

We are by this letter calling on the public to disregard claims that 60%  of Menzgold customers do not qualify for payment. We are also cautioning our members not to buy access card from Menzgold or his agents to access the so-called validation data. Our checks indicate  neither Menzgold nor Payboy has done any validation. This is a well programmed scheme hatched by Nam1 and his associates to fraudulently extort money from unsuspecting customers.

We also reject so called validation which was soley done by Mr Nana Appiah Mensah and his Menzgold without the involvement of any known state reputable agency because Menzgold and Brew Marketing company Ghana  limited were  shut down by a State agency and the CEO,  currently facing criminal trial and so it cannot purport to be doing validation on its own volition.

We urge our customers to slow down not to make any commitment. These are fraudulent deals.

No Customer of MenzGold should be misled again
