Kwabena Agyepong Joins Team Bawumia

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s presidential bid has garnered support from Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, one of the ten candidates running in the NPP’s special primary elections.

After joining Bawumia’s campaign team, the former general secretary of the ruling party raised questions about the Vice President’s potential to succeed President Mahama in Ghana.

During the Vice President’s recent visit to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) graduation ceremony, Agyepong was seen with Dr. Bawumia.

On the flight from Accra to Kumasi, the two were observed interacting amicably and joyfully, suggesting a close relationship between them.

This endorsement follows a recent meeting that Agyepong, Bawumia, and his wife, Mrs. Samira Bawumia, had.

They met at a church service to honor Agyepong’s late parent’s anniversary in Asokore Mampong, in the Ashanti Region.

Due to Agyepong’s reputation as a respected party member and past presidential candidate, Bawumia and Agyepong’s alliance has caused significant waves in the political landscape.

Ahead of the next presidential elections, his backing might influence the views of a large number of voters and party members.

Bawumia’s campaign team is projected to start up steam and draw in more supporters as a result of this endorsement.

Agyepong is a significant asset to Bawumia’s presidential campaign because of his breadth of political experience and ties to the previous NPP government led by John Agyekum Kufuor.
