A two-week-old baby boy has been found dead after his uncompassionate mother dumped him at the Gomoa Aboso refuse site in the Gomoa Central Constituency in the Central Region.

According to an eyewitness, the baby was deposited in a disguised manner as a refuse by his yet-to-be-identified mother.

The baby when discovered was wrapped in a white bedsheet with a black polythene bag and placed in a carton box.

Some eyewitnesses speaking to Metro News rained curses on the unknown mother perceived to have carried out the deed for bringing shame to the area.

They added that the baby was found dead at the refuse dump upon their arrival.

Assembly Member for the area, Mr. Isaac Gyesi Korsah

expressed his displeasure at the situation which he describes as worrying and must be condemned.

Mr. Gyesi Korsah also seized the opportunity to advise the youth to desist from such barbaric acts.

He further disclosed that the police had intervened in the matter with investigations launched in search of the unanimous mother having had the deceased baby buried.
