UPNMG donates to ailing staff of Zebilla Hospital

The Union of Professional Nurses and Midwives Ghana (UPNMG) has donated Ghc6,000 to help a staff of the Zebilla Hospital to undergo surgery.

The victim who is a senior staff nurse at the Zebilla Hospital in the Bawku West District of the Upper East Region suffered a spinal injury and needs about Ghc40, 000 to undergo a neuro surgery.

Speaking to the media after the donation, the Upper Regional President of UPNMG, Apandago M. Musah stated that the union is proactive on the welfare of its members.

He added that although the union is handicapped in terms of finances, they had to organise this funds from other sources to help save the life of an individual who is working to save lives of people.

Gariba Karim, matron of the Zebilla Hospital who received the donation, thanked the union for their effort and stated that the facility would put up their efforts to help the ill staff get financial support to add up for the surgery.
