2024 Elections: Awutu Senya West residents pledge to retain Gizella Tetteh

Some chiefs and residents of the Awutu Senya West  Constituency of the Central Region have pledged to retain the incumbent Member of Parliament for the area, Gizella Tetteh-Agbotui.

According to them, the MP has performed creditably well even though her party is not in power.

They told Metro News that the performance of the Member of Parliament has been satisfactory even though her party the NDC is in opposition.

They say Gizella Tetteh has embarked on remarkable developmental works in the area.

The Chief of Awutu Ofaso, Nai Apagafo Kojo describes the legislator as being responsive to their developmental needs.

According to him, Madam Gizzella Tetteh did not hesitate in putting their deplorable road to good shape when she was called upon and that had helped save residents from the struggles they encountered in carting their farm produce to market centers.

He believes the MP will perform even better when given a second term and is rallying his subjects to vote for the MP in the upcoming elections.

Members of communities Okwabena, Adawukwa, Ofadjato, Obrachire, Kwaokurubi , Papaase, Oklu Nkwanta, Royal City, Akuful, Jei Krodua, Kawanopado, Obodakaba, and several others are thrilled by the MP’s road reshaping policy among other projects any have pledged to renew her mandate.

For her part, the Member of Parliament, Gizella Tetteh expressed confidence about her ability to do more should her mandate be renewed by the constituents and also when her party comes to power.

She says she’s resorted to reshaping roads in her constituency to provide respite for the constituents while waiting on contractors to begin actual road construction works.

She believes the one-term syndrome of the constituency is resulting in the delay in development and therefore appealing to constituents to award her a long-term.
