Don’t punish Adwoa Safo by supporting another candidate; accept her apology – NDC Communicator to NPP

A Communication team member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr. Benedicta Yayra Fosu-Mensah, has called on the New Patriotic Party (NDC) to forgive the iniquities of Sarah Adwoa Safo and give her the maximum support.

Speaking on Good Morning Ghana on Metro TV, Benedicta Yayra Fosu-Mensah in appealing to the NPP executives, said they must always give her a second chance to rectify her shortcomings.

“I think as a party, it is important that they accept her apology and bring her back to her former position as one of the darling ladies in the party and not just throw her away with the bathing water like she said because we all make mistakes. Even the ministers in this current government have made a lot of mistakes. So, the NPP must not punish her by supporting another candidate,” she noted.

The Member of Parliament for the Dome-Kwabenya Constituency, Sarah Adwoa Safo, offered an unreserved apology to the New Patriotic Party (NPP), specifically to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and the Chief of Staff Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, for her recent behaviour.

Madam Safo clarified that her actions were unintended and were as a result of personal challenges she was grappling with, both as an individual and as a member of a family.

The former Deputy Majority Leader also sought forgiveness from the Majority Caucus, as well as from the party’s regional and constituency executives.
