Franklin Cudjoe Shoots Down Bawumia’s Vision Of “One Constituency, Ten Appointments”; Says It’s Visionless

Founding President of IMANI Center for Policy and Education, Franklin Cudjoe has shot down the aspiring Presidential Candidate of the NPP and current Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s vision to offer ten appointments to every constituency upon his election as President.

The Vice President made this vision known on his campaign tour in the Ashanti Region. According to Dr. Bawumia, the party made a mistake in about 7000 appointments made by the Presidency which will not be repeated if he’s elected as the flagbearer and subsequently wins the 2024 elections.

“My first vision for this constituency is that if you elect me as the flagbearer of the NPP and with your help we win the 2024 Elections, I will give the constituency executive opportunity with your support to nominate 10 people for government appointment. The ten people will have the responsibility of taking care of you the delegates,” Dr. Bawumia declared when he was interacting with the party’s delegates in the Suame Constituency.

Reacting to this vision, Mr. Franklin Cudjoe described the so-called vision of Dr. Bawumia as “not a vision at all”.

According to the IMANI boss, this practice of rewarding party faithfuls with appointments has been the order of the Akufo-Addo-led government which has partly led the economy into a ditch.

He further noted that such a practice, which he terms as parking the bus in football, will only throw away competence. To Mr. Cudjoe, Dr. Bawumia is above such a vision and hence called on him to reconsider what he further described as waste.

“My man, please this is no vision at all. Certainly not when we have been inundated with same by your boss that partly crashed the economy. Alas, competence will be sacrificed. In football, it is called ‘ parking the bus’. You are better than this. This is called waste, not vision,’ the IMANI boss wrote on Facebook.
