Manhyia North NPP: Unfaithful delegates beg for their lives after camp of defeated candidate vows to curse them

Some delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Manhyia North constituency in the Ashanti region have expressed fear and are begging for their lives after a curse threat was allegedly issued by the camp of one of the defeated aspirants in last month’s parliamentary primaries.

According to the leader of the affected delegates, Osei Yaw, the aide of Nana Osei Bamfo, one of the parliamentary aspirants has issued a warning to delegates who took money from the aspirant but failed to vote for him, to return the money or face the wrath of some powerful gods in the country.

In a viral audio tape intercepted by Metro News, the aide to the aspirant, Nana Osei Bamfo, who was identified as Nana Poku said those who took his boss’ money but refused to vote for him must bring back the cash or else, he is going to invoke powerful curses at them with the Antoa and other deities.

Reacting to this intended action by Nana Poku, some delegates of the Manhyia North Constituency who feel threatened, in a press conference called on Nana Osei Bamfo a failed parliamentary aspirant of the Manhyia North Constituency to stop his aide from pursuing the curse agenda.

They stated that they believe he, Nana Osei Bamfo, the failed parliamentary candidate aspirant would never curse them for not voting for him in the election.

Meanwhile, these delegates in their press conference admitted that indeed they took an amount of GHC 2,000 or GHC1,000 depending on where the person lives from Nana Poku as transportation.

The Manhyia North Constituency delegated retained the incumbent MP, Akwasi Konadu in the parliamentary primaries. He secured 389 votes, while his two contenders, Collins Owusu Amankwa who was the former MP for the area obtained 283 and, the Deputy CEO of Metro Mass Transit, Nana Osei Bamfo polled 15 votes.
