The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has terminated the appointment of some twenty-four(24) District Chief Executives in the country.

It was in accordance with article 243 (3) (b) of the Constituency, section 20 (3) (b) of the Local Government Act, 2014, Act (936).

This was captured in a statement issued by President Akufo-Addo on Friday, February 2, 2024.

The reasons for the revocation of their appointment were not stated.

Ahafo Ano North, Awutu Senya West, Sene East, Atiwa West, Adentan, Ga Central, Kranchi West, among other district chief executives were fired by the president.
