The Central Regional Executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have extended their gratitude to their flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama for settling on Professor Nanna Opoku Agyemang as his running mate.
In a press briefing held in Cape Coast at the party’s regional office. Mr. Richard Kojo Asiedu, the Region Chairman, noted that their leader. John Mahama keeping faith with Prof Nanna Agyemang and maintaining her as “future Vice President” has sparked great joy and confidence in the hearts of many women across the political space because her records in academics are highly unmatched.
According to him, her integrity exhibited throughout her public life will enable her to restore the integrity of the office of the vice president as a Ghanaian but “will not desecrate the office of the Vice President with weird promises, unrealistic campaign messages, give lucrative contracts to her brothers and cousins and later turn to call herself a mere mate when the boat sinks” as they are witnessing under this NPP government.
On behalf of the party in the region, Mr Asiedu promised to work diligently to help the party win more seats in the region and win the “presidential votes hands down”.
